MOXIE

MOXIE Theatre is an award-winning live theatre in San Diego that has centered women+ for over two decades.

Through productions by female-identified playwrights and a focus on creating opportunities for diverse women+ artists, designers, and technicians, MOXIE expands the idea of what is feminine and breaks stereotypes of “women’s work.” Following a rebrand by Reunion Studio, we built MOXIE’s new website on Siteleaf, along with a website guide that helps their team manage it with confidence.

To keep the site consistent as MOXIE’s team adds to it, we made the show page structure the default layout for every new page. Anything the team creates, from a job listing to a one-off announcement, starts from the same foundation instead of a blank page.

A new system only works if people feel comfortable using it. We created a website guide that lives on the site itself and walks MOXIE’s staff through each content type, the key fields to fill in, and everyday tasks like featuring a show or optimizing images. It also explains how drafts and previews let the team stage an entire season announcement and publish it all at once, without leaking anything early.
